The City of Higginsville is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen of good moral character; at least 21 years of age; hold a valid Missouri Driver’s License; possess a high school diploma or equivalent; and have no felony convictions. Candidates will be required to submit to a full background investigation, written test and an oral interview. Police Certification and prior police experience highly desirable.

Beginning Salary: $36,759.00

1 week vacation/ 6 months Additional week vacation/ 1 year

Progressive Department

An applicant must successfully complete all of the phases of the hiring process to be eligible for a position within the department.  A conditional offer will be given prior to the physical and drug screen.  Successful completion of these must be attained prior to a permanent offer of employment.  Participation in the hiring process does not guarantee a position with the Department.
